Oh JetBlue XII - pins gone wild

No. I wrote about people’s lack of willingness to go back to what it was pre-Covid, and how many corporate buildings are not filling with tenants. A *vastly* different argument than some guy commenting on how one should or shouldn’t contribute to their union’s political wing.

You told people in industries you have zero familiarity with that working from home wouldn’t work for their jobs.

You preach to people about things you’re clueless about all the time.

Wha do you mean wouldn’t work for their jobs? It’s clearly working if they’re working from home still. My commentary was in regards to those who are throwing a fit about a return to the office, which is something they already were doing before March 2020. I don’t think I commented on their actual job, skill, or training. It was a comment about the mode of work - at home vs office.

This is accurate, just speculate what you think you know. Most of the time you're ill informed about other fields and peoples' walks of life, thus why you're corrected often. It always reeks of jealousy.

Those are certainly words. Jealous on a forum, no. I find myself lucky to be where I am in life. I’m thankful, not the want-more mentality.

Hilariously, I'm off the forum for the better part of the day and now you're bellyaching about work-from-home and "NO ONE WANTS TO WORK, LOOK AT THE LINE AT SBARROS!"

You should really join Truth Social and bleat from the toilet like your hero.

He brought it up, I just addressed what he raised. Not gonna fall for the “your hero” trap. He’s a POTUS and a candidate for the election in November. TDS isn’t healthy for anyone, no matter where on the political spectrum you may be. :)

Scattergram of grievance.

Tell me something positive that’s happened in your world today. Let’s talk about that. I know the weather is gorgeous in Southern California, what do you have planned today?

Just turned 40 this weekend, celebrated at Benihanas. Trying to process getting old. 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80 are all milestone ages to hit IMO. Not liking it to be honest. This also means 2 FAA Medicals per year now :(

Today not much planned. 2 kids in school, baby is sick so that’s been a little challenging. Other than that have to do June bidding, a couple expense reports, and homework with kids plus play/exercise outside with them. :)

Happy Birthday.

For the record, I might kill for 40 again, although I didn't know it at the time🤷‍♂️

Never lament getting older. There is only one other alternative.

Well congratulations! :)

How was that onion volcano at Benihanas? Fun fact, DJ Steve "Throw a Cake at ya" Aoki's father is one of the founders of Benihana.

Some fresh air is good for everyone. Something we tend to forget about in Arizona as the temperature gets toasty.

You'll enjoy your 40's. Testosterone is lower so your level of indifference peaks, you're approaching the point where you realize there's your family of relatives and your chosen family, and it's perfectly normal to prefer your chosen family over your actual genetic relations and everything just gets better. Enjoy, I know you will.

I remember my 11th grade social studies teacher once when he commented that oh he would love to be in our position to be 17 again and live life. I thought it was a weird at the time. Today, I feel that.
I can recall hearing "older" people say things like that to me, stuff like "The world is your oyster!". I also thought it was odd considering whatever overblown struggle I thought I was enduring at that particular time. As I've gotten older I realized it's all perspective, they'd only want to be in your shoes with the life experience they've gained, otherwise they'd make the same mistakes they did when they were your age. It's really easy to say youth is wasted on the young, but we all have to start somewhere.

I wouldn't take 17 again for the world but 40 would be doable, were it possible.

At 70, I miss sex and joints that work without pain. Got several younger females in my life with whom I enjoy an occasional meal and a number of long-term good friends. No real fear of dying, despite its inevitability - though perhaps that will change as it approaches more closely one day.

Been a good run, mostly without regret as I look back; damn, though, I'm gonna' miss the sound of rain on the roof, and snow that falls in Winter, coating the trees and covering the good earth with its blanket for a time of sleep and renewal. I still love the leafless trees and the cold wind that blows, and will stand outside in the storm to embrace it, old as I am now. And dogs ... damn ... I'm going to miss dogs and their sloppy, wet kisses and unbridled joy when I walk to the house after checking the mail and our walks where they sniff every blade of grass, even in a driving rain.

Been an occasional cost sometimes o'er the years which has hurt, but it has been a good run and I wouldn't mind doing it again.

@Bob Ridpath maaaaaaan, they got testosterone shots, I'm at 200 mg's, myself. I feel like I'm thirteen again, if ya get me. Then there's Cialis, which I hear works well in combination with the shot. Try that concoction and report back to the group, stat!
