I'm sorry if this is a repeat thread, but I couldn't find the answers that I was looking for.

I am a pilot for a 121 carrier, and I am required to wear corrective lenses to fly. I was wondering what the requirements of the FAA were to have this procedure done. The only information that I found was here.

http://www.faa.gov/licenses_certificates/medical_certification/faq/response12/

Is that all the paperwork that has to be done? Do I have to see an AME after I have the surgery, before I can return to work? What is the estimated length of time before I can return to work? Any insight or a place where I can find more information would be appreciated.

Thanks,
