You looking to do overseas, or the US stuff? I have a ton of friends that work there. IIRC the pay for their US stuff kind of sucks but otherwise they are good people to work for. Overseas obviously the pay is a lot better, though I've heard that as Iraqistan contract pilots go it's still on the low side. I know one guy that's doing the sandbox or the Stan right now with them and he seems to like it.
I just started working there as a first officer state side. The people are really great, and training has been good. The QOL really depends on the division you are in, so does the pay. The pay seems to be a little low for first officers starting out, but they do that so that it encourages you to upgrade as soon as you can. So far I really like it but I only just started.
I applied last year and was told to that my resume would be in file for 6 months. I don't have turboprop time, but had lots of missionary/bush flying multi time. A friend who had Caravan time was hired two years ago and flew SIC/PIC on the 90s in the Middle East.
Did you apply with them? I am looking at a foreign firm that has a similar project in the Middle East. They fly B200/350/1900. The only problem is the pay. However they are giving the applicant a 3 month probation. Training for US pilots is in FSI in FL for the 350/1900 together with the checkout/checkride for the type rating. They will also give you the ATP if you have the time.
I did. I also just emailed them again to see if they could shed some light on what they'd like to see in my resume before I become a viable candidate. Would you mind PMing the firm that you're looking at? I just became unemployed and I have a lot of apps out but the phone isn't exactly ringing off the hook.
From what i've read on here and seen, if you interview there, and they don't like you, they won't ever invite you back in for a second time. 1 shot, and that's it. But, if you qualify I hear the pay and QOL are pretty good.
