CFII Ride Scheduled for Wednesday

Passed the ride yesterday! As far as the oral goes it was pretty laid back, nothing like the Initial. I started off by teaching the examiner the Special Emphasis areas which he wanted to be almost verbatim from the AIM/PHAK/etc. We skipped over FOI since it was covered on the Initial ride. Next we talked through the Technical Subject areas covering every task that was in the matrix. All in all the oral lasted right around two and a half hours. After that we took off, flew south to the NDB where he cleared me for the ILS back in to rwy 02. Prior to crossing the FAF he failed the attitude indicator. At minimums we went missed, flew west to the VOR to enter the hold as published. After 2 turns in the hold flew out for the 13 DME arc into Sandersville (KOKZ). After going missed went direct to the IAF for the GPS 20 back into DBN. Overall it was one of the easier checkrides I've been on.
