Alpha Flying is Expanding!!

Alpha Flying (Planesense.Aero), the PC12/45 fractional operator, is expanding into Atlanta (PDK) and Ft.Lauderdale (FXE). Anyone heard anything about their operation? Quality of life? Pay?? Etc.???

I've been flying the PC12 at alpha Flying for about 3 years now. FO pay starts at $27,000 plus $2.00 her hour per diem. 6 on 4 off schedule. typical upgrade times are 6 months to 1.5 years. 2 year captains are making about $55,000. Quality of life is good. Most times we get rental cars on the road, nice hotels, Hilton's etc. All operations are under 91 sub-part K. Know IFR procedures and IFR Regs inside and out, ILS, GPS, NDB, LOC, VOR, circling etc. Know part 91 and 91K regs, Review the FAR/AIM, have some basic idea about the PC12 (ie, it a turbo prop with one spinney thing out front etc. basic stuff).
 
I see Alpha almost on a daily basis at the airport I work at in the summer months. They are an excellent group of people. I always see the passengers happy as well as the pilots. They definately seem like a great company to involved with.
 
One of our FO's interviewed last month and is looking at leaving in June. He's excited. Looks like a good, fun company

If you have the time and cash, contact Daniel Webster College and try to arrange some time in their sim (that's where Alpha does the sim portion of the interview). If you've never used an Elite iGate, you'll probably thank me afterward... it flies like no other FTD I know of. (quite quirky/sensitive, and there's no control feedback... makes trimming it a bitch)

Mark,

Not to be rude, but this is about the 20th time I've seen you post your resume on message boards. Every time people kindly (or not so kindly) explain why you should remove that "2 turbine" and you never do. Sim time is sim time, just because you've flown a bunch of turbine sims a total of 2 hours during various interviews doesn't mean you should put the time on your resume!!

Yes, listing the 2 hours of turbine time won't help you get any jobs, my guess is it will hinder you. It's like a private pilot bragging because he's flown to 2 states.

Alpha flying is a great place very good QOL, Total time doesn't matter too much, however you better be 100% on IFR regs and skills other wise don't bother. If you can't fly an NDB, ILS, LOC, VOR and GPS back to back to mins look somewhere else.
