I have some prior military experience maintaining KC135R and C130J aircraft. I don't know if I qualify but I am looking for a place to get my A&P certificate in short order. Anyone have any suggestions?

Unless you can satisfy the experience requirements there is no fast track. You have to have either 1900 classroom hrs or 30 months equivilent experience. If you have your documentation from the military take that to your local FAA FSDO office and see if you qualify to be signed off. You will be issued (2) 8610-2 forms to take to your exams. Baker School of Aeronautics in Nashville is good and there are others out there. Usually the classes are a couple of weeks and prepare you to take the 3 written exams and they have several DME examiners on retainer to take your oral and practicals. Most of my friends coming out of the military didnt have enough experience credit to get signed off for both A@P usually one or the other but again depends on the FAA examiner. If your local FSDO says you are short on experience might want to try another FSDO and see if it differs. But the bottom line is if you get signed off for both A@P you are good to go you can study on your own to take the tests or like I said go to prep course like Baker to help you get there....Good Luck

Thanks for the insight. Thinking about going back to school as well so maybe I can talk a local shop into bringing me on as an apprentice while taking some classes.
