My perennial nerve was cut in an accident some months ago, and I have a dropped foot as a result. I can walk, run, swim, act, fine, but I was wondering can I get a waiver for this for Warrant Officer Flight Training?
There may be some civilian docs on here with a military background, but I think your best bet is to contact a military flight doc, or whoever is working your application, and find out from the source. There are some Army pilots on this board so maybe they will comment, but again, the best source will be the source itself. Hope that helps!
mforesta Check into this for foot-drop. The Bioness L300. Watch the videos and such - it is a great device. I've seen people with severe foot-drop from stroke, MS, and various reasons walk and you can't tell they have foot-drop at all.
Here is the telephone number and email for the Patient Advocate at Ft. Rucker, AL (the home of Army aviation). Perhaps an email or phone call to that person explaining your question and a request to contact someone who could give you a definitive answer would work. You may have to call or write different offices, but this might be a good starting place.

it sounds as if you are not in the military @ present. As the armed forces are drawing down somewhat this may be a challenge. If you are on active duty or are in the reserves request said training through your chain of command. Civilian flying could be achieved with a SODA (statement of demonstrated ability).
