Hey Doc,
So while doing a bit more research about recieving a medical with a history like mine, I realized that the FAA may require me to do some Psychological Testing. A large amount of them as a matter of fact. Truth is, these tests sound very intimidating, and I also do not have $8000 laying around. Does it sound like they will require me to take them? I have posted here before, and you may remember my recent posts. Here is a copy of it. "Since I was 10 years old, I was seen by a psychologist of something for anxiety issues. I was diagnosed with General Anxiety Disorder, and was perscribed medication. 4 years later, the psychologist had his license stripped from him due to malpractice. I then saw a Nurse Practitioner, who thought that that diagnoses was not completely accurate. Because of this, I was diagnosed with OCD because of my obsessive worrying about accuiring AIDS. I was also prescribed a different type of medication. When I turned 16, my NP and therapist agreed that I grew out of the OCD/Anxiety and I stopped Medications and therapy, and did great! I am now a certified Emergency Medical Technician and Fire Fighter. I have delt with countless chaotic emergencys, and have done some very neat things. I love this job, but I eventually want to get a PPL for leisure. What are my chances due to these diagnosis to get a 3rd class med? These diagnosis are no longer current for 3 years, and have not had meds for that same amount of time, and have both the NP and therapist agree that symptoms have not re occured for the since I was off meds. Im pretty confident about my chances, especially with my recent job, and my preformance within them."
What do you think doc?
Thanks a bunch!!
