The wait is over!

I wouldn't push the potty training on the 2 year old. Especially with the new baby arriving.

And yes, when they get to that age they have some nasty poo bombs.
Yeah that's why we stopped, she has enough new stuff to try and adjust to now. Being gentle around a new born is much more important, especially when I go back to work and my wife is home alone with them, than not having to change two pairs of diapers.

My two were only 19 months apart, so I changed 2 sets of diapers for a looooong time! It's annoying, but not that bad. Heck, we were a two-crib house for almost 2 years! Son #1 loved his crib, was happy there, and didn't try to climb out, so we just left him until he was getting too big for it. Son #2 I swear is part monkey, and was able to climb out before his 1st birthday. So he needed one of those mesh zipper crib tent things. They're fabulous. :D

Yeah, wife and I transitioned the 2yo to a big girl bed a few weeks ago so that it wouldn't be "another" change. She is taking it well, and hasn't resented it now that the baby is here. Should help make it easy for Jessica to move from bassinet to crib in a few months.

I am very uncomfortable changing the newborn's diapers now. She seems so tiny and frail. I do love holding her though, like a little ball of heat. This morning my wife said she is starting to look like a baby now. Newborns have a bit of an alien look to them. lol
I know what you mean. I remember with my grand kids like wiping them with the wet wipes so carefully and gently and I always threw a ton of powder on them and on my own kids. Used to go through buckets of powder. You'd pick them up and see these little clouds of powder surrounding them. lmao Their little skin is so perfect and seems so fragile when they are really young. I love how all newborn babies eyes are always a little puffy the first few days too. Everything about them is just so fricking cute. Even the tiny wrinkles on their knuckles.

Awesome! I already can't wait for my three (6, almost 5, and 14 months) to start popping out grandkids. If I could volunteer at the hospital it would be to hold and soothe all the newborns, love them.
