This may be beyond the scope of this forum, but it's come up on the dispatch board recently. Dispatchers are a safety sensitive position, but there is no medical required, and as far as I know, there is no list of prohibited drugs for dispatchers to take. That being said, as a safety sensitive position, we ARE subject to random drug testing. I presume the best thing to do is to ask your doctor when you get a prescription if it will affect your job performance any, but is there any other kind of official reference for non-pilot/ATC but safety sensitive airline jobs?
